Four Nippon Shaft Players Finish in Top 10

CARLSBAD, Calif. (March 20, 2017) – Just a month after placing five players in the top 10 at Riviera CC, Nippon Shaft recorded a victory and four players in the top 10 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Lodge & Resort in Orlando.

The 33-year-old Australian winner played the Nippon Shaft N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 130 X-flex steel shafts in his irons and wedges to en rout to shooting 11-under par with rounds of 71-66-71-69—277. He made a 51-foot putt for eagle on the 16th hole to pull ahead and made clutch up-and-downs on his final two holes to seal the victory. His winnings came to $1.566 million and he received a red cardigan sweater in honor of the late Arnold Palmer.

Meanwhile, both players who tied for second also used Nippon Shaft. The 40-year-old San Diego native used the Nippon Shaft N.S.PRO MODUS3 Tour 105 steel shafts in his irons to shoot 10-under par for the week. The 33-year-old from Aiken, South Carolina used the N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 120 TX-flex steel shafts in his irons and the MODUS Wedge 125 shaft in his wedges.

Tying for seventh at 7-under was the 37-year-old former U.S. Open champion, who played N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 120 TX-flex steel shafts in his irons and the MODUS Wedge 125 shaft in his wedges.
