IN HER PRO DEBUT, FORMER TOP AMATEUR WINS WITH NIPPON SHAFT

CARLSBAD, Calif. (June 5, 2023) – In her professional debut, the 20-year-old who had been the top amateur in the world for 141 weeks used Nippon Shaft N.S.PRO 850GH in her irons (5-PW) to win the Mizuho Americas Open.
The Champion won on the second playoff hole after shooting a 9-under par total with rounds of 70-69-66-74—279, thus becoming the first woman in 72 years to win in her professional debut. A week after winning her second consecutive NCAA championship as a college sophomore, she took home a winner’s check of $412,500.
