NIPPON SHAFT PLAYERS WIN on LET and JLPGA TOURS

CARLSBAD, Calif. (November 5, 2024) – Two players used Nippon Shaft steel shafts in their irons and wedges last weekend to win on the Ladies European Tour and the Japan LPGA.

The 28-year-old Englishwoman used N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 125 and Tour 120 steel shafts in her irons and wedges, respectively, to win the Aramco Team Series in dominating fashion at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia. A hero at the Solheim Cup earlier this year, she shot 18-under par total in the 54-hole event, recording rounds of 65-67-66—198, and earned €69,000 (or $75,000) for the 3-shot victory, her fourth on the LET. She has two LPGA victories.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old Japanese woman earned her eighth victory of the year on the JLPGA using the N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 in her irons and wedges to win a six-hole playoff at the U.S. LPGA-sanctioned Toto Japan Classic at Seta Golf Course in Japan. The champion earned $300,000 for her victory and – perhaps more importantly – her LPGA Tour card. The tournament was shortened to 54 holes because of Tropical Storm Kong Rey.

“Nippon Shaft is thrilled that these two women have relied on Nippon Shaft products enroute to winning the Aramco Team Series in Riyadh and the Toto Japan Classic in Japan,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “They choose to play Nippon Shaft and we take seriously our responsibility to continue to improve our products every year.”

More than 300 players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, European Tour and Korn Ferry Tour use Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ series steel shafts to help gain their desired distance, accuracy, and trajectory.
