NIPPON SHAFT WINS in SPAIN

CARLSBAD, Calif. (May 3, 2022) – The winner of the Catalunya Championship in Girona, Spain used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Wedge 125 steel shafts in his sand, gap and lob wedges on Sunday (May 1) enroute to the championship.

The 27-year-old Spaniard won with a par on the sixth hole of a sudden death playoff after having shot a 7-under par 65 in his final round at the Stadium Course at PGA Catalunya. Added to his first three rounds of 68-76-68, he shot an 11-under par total of 277, tying with one other golfer in regulation. By grabbing his second victory on the DP World [European] Tour, the champion earned €322,614 ($369,021).
