CARLSBAD, Calif. (June 27, 2023) – The winner of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship captured her first major championship using Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO 950GH S flex shafts in her irons.

The 20-year-old from China shot an 8-under par total at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, NJ with rounds of 67-73-69-67—276. She stuck her approach on the 18th green to 10 feet and made the putt to win by one. She won $1.5 million for the victory and is the second woman from China to win a major.

“Nippon Shaft would like to congratulate the winner of this year’s KPMG Women’s PGA Championship,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “Despite being a young player, she stepped up to the plate and played fearlessly and wound up in the winner’s circle.”

The Champion now has two LPGA Tour victories, both coming this year – the PGA and the DIO Implant LA Open, and leads the LPGA in strokes gained approach (shots over 50 yards from the hole) per round.

More than 500 players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, European Tour and Korn Ferry Tour use Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO and MODUS³ series steel shafts to help gain their desired distance, accuracy, and trajectory.
