CARLSBAD, Calif. (March 13, 2023) – One month after defending his title at the Phoenix Open, the 26-year-old Texan used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Hybrid Tour X-flex shaft in his utility iron Sunday (March 12) to win the prestigious Players Championship.

His dominating 5-shot victory elevated him to World No. 1 in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and padded his already healthy bank account with a $4.5 million dollar winner’s check from the event’s massive $25 million purse. He finished at 17-under par with rounds of 68-69-65-69—271 and has now won six times in his last 27 starts.
