NIPPON SHAFT PLAYER WINS on JAPAN GOLF TOUR

Nov 18, 2024

CARLSBAD, Calif. (November 18, 2024) – A 29-year-old American used Nippon Shaft products to win the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament in Japan with a record low score.

The Edmond, Oklahoma native – who won twice earlier this year on the Korn Ferry Tour – used N.S.PRO MODUS³ Prototype steel shafts in his irons to shoot 22-under par at the Phoenix Golf Club. He fired rounds of 66-62-65-69 – including a bogey-free stretch of 55 holes – to win by four in his first Japan Golf Tour (JGTO) victory.

“Nippon Shaft would like to congratulate the winner of the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “His performance of four rounds in the 60s is truly exceptional and is consistent with his two Korn Ferry Tour victories earlier this year.”

More than 300 players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, European Tour and Korn Ferry Tour use Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ series steel shafts to help gain their desired distance, accuracy, and trajectory.

Nippon Shaft products are available globally either as stock or custom shafts in many of the world’s top iron brands.  Details of these can be found at www.nipponshaft.com
