NIPPON SHAFT WINS CHEVRON CHAMPIONSHIP

CARLSBAD, Calif. (April 27, 2025) – The winner of the Chevron Championship used Nippon Shaft steel shafts in her irons and wedges to capture the LPGA’s first major championship of the year.

The 23-year-old from Japan – and 2024 Louise Suggs LPGA Rookie of the Year – used the N.S.PRO 850GH neo S-flex steel shaft in her irons and the N.S.PRO 950GH steel shafts in her wedges enroute to a 72-hole regulation to of 7-under-par and to make the winning birdie on the first hole of a five-player sudden death playoff. 

She earned $1.2 million for her first LPGA Tour victory, which took place at the Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas.
