CARLSBAD, Calif. (November 24, 2014) – Nippon Shaft won the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai for the second consecutive year on Sunday (Nov. 23) thanks to a final-round 2-under par 70 that led to a 72-hole total of 16-under par.
The 38-year-old Swede used Nippon Shaft’s N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 120 steel shafts in his irons and wedges, and shot 68-66-68-70 at Jumeirah Golf Estates to repeat as winner of the prestigious season-ending event. He won by two shots thanks to birdies on the final two holes. The champion also finished second in this year’s Race to Dubai, the season-long points competition, which he won last year.
