CARLSBAD, Calif. (September 27, 2021) – Two of the world’s elite golfers used Nippon Shaft products to earn victories Sunday (Sept. 26) on the PGA Tour Champions and LPGA Tours.

The winner of the PURE Insurance Championship at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California used N.S.PRO MODUS3 Tour 120 X-flex steel shafts in his irons to win the Pure Insurance Championship on the PGA Tour Champions.

Playing in his 15th Champions Tour event, the 51-year-old posted a 13-under par total of 202 with rounds of 67-67-68 and became the first Korean to win on the senior circuit. He made only two bogeys and earned a winner’s check of $330,000.

His victory was the 253th on major worldwide tours for Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ Series of steel shafts.

On the LPGA Tour, the 22-year-old native of Japan won the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship using Nippon Shaft’s classic 950GH R-flex steel shafts in her irons. She shot 16-under par with rounds of 65-65-67-197 at Pinnacle Country Club to record her second victory this season and her fifth on the LPGA Tour. She earned $345,000 for the win.

Over the years, the lightweight 950GH shafts have been used hundreds of times by professional tour winners, especially on the LPGA Tour.
