CARLSBAD, Calif. (May 2, 2024) – Players using Nippon Shaft products won on the PGA Tour, the DP World [European] Tour and the LPGA Tour last weekend.
The 37-year-old Irishman and former British Open champion was part of a team that won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. He used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 X flex shaft in his 3-iron.
On the DP World Tour, a 25-year-old up-and-coming Japanese star used N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 125 shafts in his irons to shoot a 17-under par total that included a course-record-breaking 63 in the final round in Japan. The 5-foot-7-inch 150-pounder thereby earned full status on the DP World (European) Tour along with €356,625 ($385,585).
On the LPGA, a 27-year-old Australian used Nippon Shaft products in her wedges to hole out twice from off the green and win the JM Eagle LA Championship at Wilshire Country Club for the second year in a row, this time in a playoff. She secured her fifth LPGA victory – and her second of the season – using the N.S. PRO 980 DST R shafts in her wedges. She won $562,500 for her efforts.
