The winner of the 2024 U.S. Women’s Open used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour Prototype steel shafts in her irons and N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 105 steel shafts in her wedges to prevail by three shots.
The 22-year-old, who played under the Japanese flag in honor of her father, was three shots behind to start the final round but made four birdies on the back nine at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania.
It was the second U.S. Open victory and the second LPGA win for the champion, who won the 2021 U.S. Open at the Olympic Club.
“Nippon Shaft is extremely pleased that this year’s U.S. Women’s Open champion trusted Nippon Shaft products to enable her to perform at the highest level,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “We are looking forward to watching and supporting her as she continues to progress in her career.”
The winner recorded a 4-under par total with rounds of 68-71-69-68—276. Her dramatic final round back nine run consisted of birdies on Nos. 12, 13, 15 and 16.
