CARLSBAD, Calif. (August 20, 2024) – A 29-year-old University of Oklahoma alumnus won his second Korn Ferry Tour (KFT) event of 2024 using Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Prototype S flex in his irons at last Sunday’s Magnit Championship.

The champion shot 65-67-69-69 for an 18-under par total of 270 at the Metedeconk National Golf Club in New Jersey to win by three and collect $180,000 in winnings. Although he already had earned his 2025 PGA Tour card, the victory moved him to No. 2 on the KFT’s season long standings, as he enters the KFT playoffs.

“Nippon Shaft is elated that the Champion of the Magnit Championship relied on Nippon Shaft products to earn the victory and improve his status on next year’s PGA Tour,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft.

More than 300 players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, European Tour and Korn Ferry Tour use Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ series steel shafts to help gain their desired distance, accuracy, and trajectory.
