CARLSBAD, Calif. (September 4, 2024) – The world’s No. 1 golfer used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Hybrid Tour X-flex shaft in his utility iron enroute to winning the Tour Championship, his seventh victory of the season.

The 28-year-old Texan, who started the tournament at 10-under par per FedExCup rules, ended with a 30-under total with rounds of 65-66-66-67—264 to win the year-long quest for the FedExCup by four over his closest pursuer.

Meanwhile, in Japan, Nippon Shaft won on both the men’s and women’s professional tours. On the Japan Golf Tour a 23-year-old Japanese man used Nippon Shaft’s N.S. PRO MODUS³ Prototype steel shafts in his irons to help him shoot 9-under par to win the JGTO’s “Fujisankei Classic,” which was reduced to 36 holes from 72 because of inclement weather. Also reduced to 36 holes due to weather was the Golf5Ladies won by a 21-year-old Japan LPGA member who used Nippon Shaft N.S. PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 steel shafts in her irons and wedges to shoot 10-under par with rounds of 68-66-134. It was her fifth JLPGA victory.
